This is an early notification and invitation to attend, or to nominate a representative from your centre to attend, and participate in our Festival of Light and Peace.

In the afternoon we will have an interfaith debate on: Poverty and Inequality: What can religions do to improve society?
In view of the current global recession, and the wide-spread poverty, disparity in wealth distribution, social injustices, and many other troubling phenomena, I thought it may be useful to share experiences and views. Perhaps even have joint efforts being created. All the other religions have also been invited to participate in this event. If there is somebody from centre who specifically would like to be on the panel, to give a short presentation (3 - 5 minutes), and to then debate this topic, kindly let me know.
In the morning we will again have the Light Offering Ceremony, during which each centre representative is also invited to offer a prayer, song or chant, poem, or short speech (3 mins) towards world peace.
